Jagannath Rath Yatra 2012 Nepal

ISKCON is going to organize Jagannath Rath Yatra on 21st of June , 2012. The festival of Chariot which was originally celebrated in Jagannathpuri Dham India  is now available in many parts of the world. ISKCON conducts Ratha Yatra in major cities of the world now. It has been one of the popular chariot festival in Nepal as well . This festival is significant as general peoples are believed to get the mercy of the lord of universejust by seeing and pulling the chariot. Jagannath , Baladev and Subhadra will come in chariot to give their mercy. It will start from Prajya Bhawan Kamaladi.

rathe ca gamana dristva punarjanma na vidyate 

"Simply by darshan of the Lord on the chariot, one will be free from the cycle of

 birth and death".

This is the only opportunity in the whole year to reap immense mercy of the 

Supreme Lord by serving Him with full extent.

Program Schedule:
Thursday, June 21, 2012
06:00 am : Chariot decoration and Bhajan, Kirtan
09:00 am : Guru Puja and Lord Jagannatha, Baladev and Subhadra deites put on the

 chariot
10:30 am : Welcome Speech and arrival of distinguish guests
11:00 am : Glorification of Lord Jagannatha by cheif guest
11:30 am : Aarati, Bhoga offering and procession starts
03:00 pm : Procession ends at Basantapur & Maha Prasadam distribution
03:30 pm : Cultural Programme begins
07:00 pm : Programme ends after Lord Jagannatha come back to temple

Ratha Yatra Procession Route:
Starts from: Pragya Bhawan Kamaladi - Ghantaghar - Ratnapark - Jamal - 

Kantipath - Durbarmarg - Putalisadak - Singha Durbar - Bhadrakali - 

Jagannatha Mandir - Sundhara - New Road - And ends at: Basantapur
