I am science student but not a convinced one. I mean that I study modern science but it doesn't make me convinced.
Since my childhood I was always hankering to find out the real knowledge about the absolute truth. Somehow or other I was managing to read various books , magazines , documentaries , websites etc. in order to get the real knowledge regarding creation , creator , values of life and ways of,life life etc. for more than seven years before I took part in the ' Seven Days Seminar on The Journey of Self Discovery' at ISKCON-VISA, Tripureshwor , Kathmandu. I think I had already completed hundreds of spiritual books then. Seminar was given by His Grace Ambuja Krishna Prabhu. In between seminar His Grace Patri prabhu gave his wonderful association to all the participants.
Although I had come across many wonderful books written about absolute truth but was never convinced. I decided to give a try to seven days course as well. I got the summary of Vedas there, art of living life and more importantly the art of Dying. I think that art of living is good but more important is the art of Dying. Life is preparation and Death is examination. We have to prepare our life in such a way that death opens the door to all spiritual world which is full of eternality , knowledge and bliss. This was my distinct realization. The course simply removed misconceptions about God and gods from my mind. Fifth day's course on the laws of Karma was simply enough to answer my longtime unanswered question ' why bad happens to good people if there is God in the world?'
At last but not least I decided to dedicate my life in the service of Lord as I knew the unparallel standards of devotional services. Krishna says in Bhagavat-Gita :-
yoginam api sarvesam mad-gatenantar-atmana
sraddhavan bhajate yo mam sa me yuktatamo matah ------------ Bhagavad-Gita 6.47
( And of all yogis, the one with great faith who always abides in Me, thinks of Me within himself, and renders transcendental loving service to Me -- he is the most intimately united with Me in yoga and is the highest of all. That is My opinion.)
And furthermore , I knew from the course that Krishna is the sum and substance of all Vedas .
sarvasya cāhaḿ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaḿ ca
vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo vedānta-kṛd veda-vid eva cāham---------------------Bhagavad-Gita 15.15
(I am seated in everyone's heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedānta, and I am the knower of the Vedas.)
I realized that devotional service is the highest offering of Vedas and being devotees is the greatest thing in the entire world. YES , I knew.
What is the point in reading so many scriptures , magazines , documentaries etc . if we can not get the final message there ? Seven days course gave me this ripened fruit of Vedas. More importantly , I want to say that I didn't get ripened fruit of Vedas but its juice . Actually , I got more in Seven days than what I had accumulated in last seven years.
Actually my academic science never convinced me of the absolute truth which it talks but the Vedic science which came in my knowledge via seven days course at ISKCON-VISA totally convinced !!! Thank you Seven Days course ! Thank you HG Ambuja Krishna Prabhu , Thank you ISKCON & Thank you Srila Prabhupada for giving me such a wonderful & life changing gift.
