Auspicious Damodar Month in Baglung

Damodar month is being gloriously celebrated in Baglung. ISKCON devotees are celebrating this very auspicious month in multiple ways in Baglung. Krishna consciousness movement is trying to save the entire humanity from the miseries of this painful world and is reawakening our original consciousness. Our original nature is full of knowledge , eternity and bliss. The month of Kartika is very important for this purpose. Devotees are trying to save as many souls as possible in multiple ways all over the world. An attempt is being done in Baglung , Nepal as well.
Ghee lamp offering to lord Damodar
In Dipawali week devotees organized ghee lamp offering ceremony . Along with the recitation of Damodarastakam, a beautiful prayer to lord Damodar composed by Satyabrata muni, more than 400 villagers from Dhamja  offered Ghee (Sesame oil) lamp to Lord Damodar. This was especially organized by Baglung BACE devotees and Bhakti Vriksha groups. We have uploaded some photos and videos.

Dipawali Program
Every year devotees organize a small program during the time of Dipawali in Dhamja. This year more than 200 villagers participated in the program. Kritan was ecstatic and Bhagavad Gita As It Is class was well attended. The program was over with Prasadam distribution. [Read More & View More Photos ]
Maha Harinaam
Devotees did maha Harinaam in Dhamja. Villagers were amazed at their way. Hare Krishna Mahamantra (Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna  Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare) is the mantra for this age as recommended by scripture and Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the supreme personality of Godhead Krishna, himself . Villagers took part in Maha Harinaam as well.

The Significance of Kartika Month : scriptures  state that if even for a short  time somebody burns  a lamp in the temple of Lord Sri Hari, then  whatever sins he has acquired  for millions of kalpas (one kalpa equals 1000 yugas) are all destroyed. A person who offers a lamp during the month of Kartika  attains  a result  that  cannot  be  obtained  with  even  a hundred  yajnas  or  a hundred  pilgrimages.
